WHAT IS IN YOUR CHRISTMAS BOX!

WHAT IS IN YOUR CHRISTMAS BOX!

This December, Slum2School Africa will be celebrating the 3rd edition of ChristmasInABOX in a grand style and it promises to be a reloaded edition. Hundreds of volunteers will go on a tour across 10 communities within Lagos and environs for 3 days starting 17th December and running through till 20th December with 5000 BOXES of gifts for 5000 Children.

All volunteers and interested individuals, schools, corporate organization are expected to join us in raising 5000 BOXES filled with super exciting gifts for 5000 children living in various remote communities and slums like Emina Island in Epe, Makoko, Bariga, Ikota, Ajegunle, Iwaya, Sogunlo, Aiyetoru etc. According to Otto Orondaam, founder Slum2School Africa, “Slum2School has successfully supported and enrolled over 600 children into schools and we want to extend the Christmas love to similar children living in more slums and remote communities who cant afford to celebrate the Christmas and wouldnt have gifts as many priviledged children uptown.” The goal of ChristmasInABox campaign this year is to give everyone an opportunity to give back and also bring boxes filled with simple lovable items to less privileged children who may never have the chance to get them. Some gift items include toys, stationery, beverages, wristwatches, sunglasses, storybooks, clothes, shoes, candies, cookies, teddies, bags, etc.

Sum2School is fully dedicated to its vision of transforming society by empowering disadvantaged children to realize their full potential by providing access to basic education for these children and in the coming year plans to begin the building of schools in remote communities and slums.

  1. Yeah. I’m excited to hear hear this. I felt so fulfilled after last year’s boat ride to give those children boxes. I was going to find out the plans for this year and I’m glad to read this. I’m already making plans to get 30 boxes this week. God bless you people

  2. Hi There,

I heard about your platform from a colleague who is also a volunteer in your scheme.

I and a friend recently discovered a primary school in Kano in dire need of help.

No water, no furniture,(some pupils sit on the floors), no books….Nothing to be honest.

Name of the school is : Sauwna Kawaji Primary School, Kano

Does your platform allow for fundraising for such causes?

Do get back to me on this.

    Cheers
